American Airlines travel credits are stored online in your account. Sometimes it is also referred to as American Airlines travel bank. It is compulsory to have an active account with American Airlines to utilize your travel credit within the specified period. American Airlines travel credit is basically virtual money that occurred on your unutilized tickets with the carrier. There would be many reasons not to take flight due to personal reasons and other circumstances that cannot be avoided. Sometimes, an airline itself cancels the flights due to many different reasons.
Generally, if you cancel your ticket within 24 hours of making reservations and when the flight date is more than 2 days, you may get a monetary refund in full into your bank account. But there are non-refundable tickets that cannot be canceled, and you won’t get a monetary refund of such a permit. However, American airlines add travel credits instead of refunding the money in your account with the same value, which can be utilized to purchase the flight ticket in the future.
